Being frugal will really help you save money. But there has to be more to it, otherwise it wouldnt be such a popular choice. Heres my 6 reasons to be frugal:
1. Saving money is a reason to be frugal as well as a benefit. If you want to save money then spending less is the best way to do it.
2. You will learn to not take things for granted. You learn to use what you have, and being frugal helps you to really seperate the necessities from the luxuries.
3. If you have children, you can be a great role model and teach them how to save money and budget. If children are taught a good attitude towards money, it will benefit them for their whole life.
4. A sense of pride and accomplishment, it’s like beating the system. When you can see how much time, money, and energy you are saving, it will make you feel good about yourself.
5. A frugal lifestyle means less waste, so you will be doing your part for the environment.
6. It generally gives you a more positive outlook on life all around.
Sometimes people use the word “frugal” as if it were something to be ashamed of. I’m proud to be frugal and one day, when I’m retired, sitting on the beach, I’ll have my frugal ways to thank for it.
Are you frugal? Why or why not?

I have been making frugal efforts for the last few months…always tried not to be wasteful but we were never so directed about it. To me, being frugal means not worrying whether there will be food on the table. Not worrying so much when the bills come due. Not having to worry when our job situations change, the economy gets unstable, or the family gets bigger. It means more freedom!

I was raised to be frugal to a point of not being wasteful because some people dont have any money just to eat the cheapest food. Some rich people spend lots of money just because they can even if the item bought is not essential.
